Peggy Lloyd is an American theater actress and television director known for her work at the Broadway theater. Lloyd met her future husband, actor Norman Lloyd, while they co-starred in the play Crime directed by Elia Kazan. The two married on June 29, 1936 and stayed together until their death, 75 years later. They are known for their joint appearances in the Federal Theater Project, run by the Construction Progress Administration, at the beginning of their marriage in the 1930s. In 1937, Lloyd starred in the play Have Wonderful Time with John Garfield. She also appeared in the play Romeo and Juliet directed by Katharine Cornell. Norman Lloyd joined Orson Welles' theater company, Mercury Theater, became a close associate of director Alfred Hitchcock, and directed many of Hitchcock's dramas and specials.

She is best known for her roles in the early 20th-century Broadway productions of Romeo & Juliet and Having a Wonderful Time, as well as her affiliation with Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles (through her director husband).
