Fans of Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe need to do a better job of reading the fine print after the reality star teased that her fiancé Shawn Booth is pregnant with their first child!

The 31-year-old posted the fake announcement after followers made fun of the way she grabbed Shawn's stomach in a recent picture.

"Since everyone was getting their panties in a knot over my hand placement, (totally reasonable you guys) we have decided to share some really exciting news. SHAWN B IS WITH CHILD. Baby Boothstowe is due April 1st 2017. We can't wait to meet him or her!!!" Kaitlyn hilariously wrote.

Problem is, a lot of fans thought the brunette beauty was talking about herself — even with her aggressive capitalization!

"She looks great, doesn't even look pregnant," one confused Instagram user commented, while another said, "Oh wow, I am over the moon. This is such good news!!"

She also listed his due date as April 1st — aka April Fool's Day — so needless to say, we're surprised the joke went over so many people's heads.
