New just trickling in indicate that the famous Egyptian actor Hesham Selim has passed away. He was 64.

He started acting when he was 13 years old, but he pursued his education seriously and didn’t start performing again until after he had finished. He revealed having a 26-year-old transgender son in May 2020, in a rare public display of support for LGBT+ rights in the conservative Muslim nation.

Selim married twice when he was alive. Mervat El Nahas was his first wife with whom he bore all his surviving 3 children.

He divorced his first wife and later got married to his current surviving wife Nadia Al Ghaleb. They got married in 2004 and stayed married until his untimely death.

Selim has just one brother Khaled Selim who is also a very famous actor. He is married to an Egyptian screen goddess.
